Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms apply to all services provided by Heba Abu Skhail ("I", "me"), a remote freelance software engineer and IT consultant, to any client ("you"). By booking a session, accepting a proposal or paying an invoice, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

I provide remote IT consulting, software and backend development, system analysis, technical documentation, DevOps/CI-CD setup, code review and technical mentoring. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and price of each engagement are agreed in writing (by email or a signed proposal) before work begins.

2. Pricing and payment

3. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, timely feedback and any access (repositories, servers, accounts) needed to complete the work. Delays caused by missing information may shift agreed timelines.

4. Intellectual property

Once the related invoices are paid in full, you own all code, documents and other deliverables created specifically for your project. I may reuse general know-how and non-confidential tools, libraries and techniques. Third-party and open-source components remain under their own licences.

5. Confidentiality

I keep your business information, source code and data confidential and use them only to deliver the agreed services. I am happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement on request.

6. Revisions and acceptance

Fixed-price projects include reasonable revisions within the agreed scope. Deliverables are considered accepted if no issues are reported within 7 days of delivery. Changes outside the original scope are quoted separately.

7. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are handled according to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

Services are provided with professional care, but I cannot guarantee that software will be free of all errors. To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service the claim relates to. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data.

9. Termination

Either party may end an engagement with written notice. You will pay for work completed up to the termination date, and any unused prepaid amount will be refunded as described in the Refund Policy.

10. Disputes

Any dispute will first be resolved in good faith by direct discussion between both parties. Where needed, PayPal's dispute resolution process applies to payments made through PayPal.
